Hillsborough police in search of woman after attempt to lure local student

Hillsborough authorities are in search of a woman wanted for the attempted luring of a local student on Dec. 5.

According to township officials, a Hillsborough student was at a bus stop located at Auten Road and Bluebird Drive at approximately 4:10 p.m. and was reported to be walking home when a woman driving a two-door pickup truck approached him.

The police report said the truck pulled up alongside him near 117 Bluebird Drive, and the driver rolled down her window and stated, “Come in honey” two times. The boy denied the woman’s advances both times, officials reported.

Upon the second request, the boy threatened to contact authorities, and the women then drove off before a license plate identification could be determined, according to the report.

The driver is described as a white woman with a tan skin tone, wrinkly face, about 50 to 60 years old, wearing black glasses, and having shoulder-length black curly hair.

Hillsborough police officers and Detective Chris McMinn are investigating this incident.
