The Princeton University women’s basketball team ran its winning streak to four when it topped Marist, 60-57, last Saturday at Jadwin Gym. Bella Alarie scored 24 points to lead the offense for the Tigers. Princeton, which is now 5-7, has won all three games Alarie has played since returning to the lineup after a pre-season injury.
Gabrielle Rush scored 14 points and Sydney Jordan added 12 in the win for Princeton. The Tigers were scheduled to play at St. Francis in Brooklyn on Wednesday and will play at Hartford on Friday.
The Princeton men’s basketball team bounced back from its loss to St. John’s to defeat Iona, 85-81, on Saturday at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Devin Cannady and Jaelin Llewelynn each scored 22 points to pace the offense for the Tigers. Jose Morales scored 12 points, while Richmond Aririguzoh and Myles Stephens each added 10 points as Princeton improved to 5-4 on the season.
The Tigers were scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday with a game at Duke. Princeton will play at Lafayette on Friday.
The Princeton men’s ice hockey team snapped a six-game losing streak when it played ninth-ranked Penn State to a 4-4 tie last Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Princeton trailed, 4-1, before scoring the final three goals of the game to force overtime. Max Veronneau scored a pair of goals and assisted on the other two for the Tigers. Ryan Kuffner added a goal and three assists in the victory.
Princeton is now 3-8-2 on the season. The Tigers are off until Dec. 28 when they will host Maine at Baker Rink.
The Princeton women’s hockey team is off until Dec. 30 when the Tigers will host Merrimack. Princeton is 9-2-3 on the season and will bring a 12-game unbeaten streak into the contest.
