FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP – The Township Committee has renewed shared services agreements with entities in and near the municipality so the township may continue to provide automotive maintenance and repair services to certain vehicles.
On Dec. 4, committee members authorized automotive services agreements with Freehold Borough, the Freehold Township Fire District No. 2 Board of Fire Commissioners, the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad and the Manasquan River Regional Sewage Authority (MRRSA).
According to the terms of each agreement, Freehold Township will provide automotive maintenance and repair services to certain vehicles owned by each entity. The agreements with Freehold Borough, the Freehold Township Fire District No. 2 Board of Fire Commissioners and the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad are continuing agreements. The agreement with MRRSA is a new agreement.
And, committee members authorized shared services agreements with the Freehold Township Fire District. No. 1 Board of Fire Commissioners, the Freehold Township Fire District No. 2 Board of Fire Commissioners and MRRSA for vehicle refueling with each entity. Vehicles owned by those entities will continue to be refueled at the DPW facility on Jackson Mills Road.
Other shared services were also authorized:
• With Freehold Borough, Freehold Township will continue to provide health services and substance abuse prevention and counseling services;
• With Millstone Township, Freehold Township will continue to provide signs;
• With Allentown, Freehold Township will continue to provide services associated with the Everbridge Emergency Notification System;
• With Farmingdale, Freehold Township will continue to provide sign making services and other public works related goods and services.
Committee members authorized a continued shared services agreement with Manalapan, Millstone Township and Freehold Borough for regional animal control services. Manalapan is the lead agency, according to a resolution.
Finally, the committee authorized a continued agreement with the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group for health services; a continued agreement with the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group for a culture of health coalition facilitator; and continued agreements with CentraState Healthcare System for health promotion and diabetes control.
