The 48thseason of Dillon Youth Basketball tipped off on Jan. 5 at Dillon Gym.
In the Boys 4th/5thGrade Division, Corner House defeated Cross Culture in a competitive game, 29-28. Leone Westrick led the way with 13 points for Corner House, while Raymond McLaughlin chipped away with eight points. Joseph Poller scored 12 points in the loss for Cross Culture.
In other action in the division, Princeton Dental Group topped Mason Griffin & Pierson, 22-19. Matthew Ghaim scored 12 points, while Henry Jamieson-Dove knocked in eight points for Princeton Dental Group. Leonardo Momo led the way witheight points for MG&P. PBA No. 130 took down Princeton Youth Sports, 26-23, as Michael Bess and Sebastian Bremner combined for 20 points. Gavin Levine led the way with 14 points for Princeton Youth Sports.
In the Boys 6th/7thGrade Division, McCaffrey’s defeated Princeton Pi, 25-22, as Pasquale Carusone led the way with 14 points, while Carmine Carusone and Thomas Poljevka combined for 19 points. Remmick Granozio led Princeton Pi with 13 points. In other action in the division, Lependorf & Silverstein topped Dick’s Sporting Goods, 43- 25. Strong performances came from Jihad-Jisari Wilder and Tarak Jayachandran, as each scored 12 points. Christopher Foreman had six points in the loss for Dick’s Sporting Goods. Smith’s Ace Hardware took down Majeski Foundation, 33-25. Jack Davidge and Benjamin Tarter led the way as they combined for 21 points. Owen Biggs scored 11 points in the loss for Majeski Foundation.
In the Girls Division, Princeton Pettoranello topped Princeton Restorative Dental, 16-10, as Sneha Kumar led the way with six points. Romy Johnson scored four points for Princeton Restorative Dental. In other action, Jefferson Plumbing defeated Woodwinds, 44-24. Betaneya Tsegay scored 16 points and Genesis Angeles added 14 points for Jefferson Plumbing. Deidre Ristic scored eight points for Woodwinds. The Nuggets defeated the Wizards, 20-10. Strong performances came from Luna Bar-Cohen with 10 points and Madeleine Nieman with six points. Anna Winters and Clare Barlag each scored four points for the Wizards.
In the Boys 8th-10th Grade Division, the Knicks defeated the Lakers, by a 52-33, as Jake Zuckerman had a strong performance with 15 points and Zander DeLuca chipped away with 10 points for the Knicks. Drew Patrone, Theo Steiger and Henri Maman each scored seven points in the loss for the Lakers. In other action, the Spurs defeated the 76ers, 52-49. Jeremy Sallade led the Spurs with 19 points and John Reardon scored 14 points. Owen Deming scored 11 points and Cosimo Guerin added 10 points in the loss for the 76ers.
