Jackson police reported the following incidents that occurred in the township:
• At 9:21 p.m. Jan. 4, Officer Javier De La Torre responded to the area of Chandler Road to investigate a report of an individual driving in an erratic manner. The officer located the vehicle and an investigation resulted in the arrest of the 58-year-old male driver who was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath tests, reckless driving, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to exhibit a valid registration and driving with a suspended license.
• At 5:10 a.m. Jan. 6, officers Derek Thomason, Kevin Kleinknecht, Thomas Conti and Kyle Stybe responded to a residence on Delaware Trail to investigate a report of a burglary in progress. The officers’ response and an investigation resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old male resident of Morris Plains who was known to the caller. The man was charged with burglary, harassment, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a weapon. Police said he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Florham Park. He was processed and placed in the Ocean County Jail, Toms River.
