Jewish Community Center offers programs, activities

The Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County will offer the following programs at its location, 1775 Oak Tree Road, Edison:

Duplicate bridge, every Wednesday from 1-4 p.m., through February.

Current Events and Controversies 2019 from 10-11:30 a.m. Fridays.

Storytelling workshop from 10-11:30 a.m. Feb. 11.

The Life and Legacy of Paul Robeson: A Two-Part Mini-Series at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 22 and 29.

New Jersey Hall of Fame: An Insider’s View, presented by photographer Gary Gellman, at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 22.

Becoming a Woman Doctor in the 1930s at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 5.

Presidential Crises and Decisions at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 12.

Phyllis Chapell will perform international cabaret vocals and guitar at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 12.

A History of Inventing in New Jersey at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 19.

Abraham Lincoln’s Wit and Wisdom, in recognition of Presidents Day, at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 19.

Lost Amusement Parks of the Jersey Shore at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 26.

Bus trips to Atlantic City are planned for Jan. 28 and Fe. 25. The bus will leave the JCC lot at 8:45 a.m. for Resorts Casino, and returns at approximately 7 p.m. Get $25 back in slot dollars. Must be 21 or older.

A bereavement group, facilitated by Rabbi Bryan Kinzbrunner, campus chaplain for the Oscar and Ella Wilf Campus for Senior Living, will be held from 3-4 p.m. Jan. 23, and Feb. 6 and 20.

Certain exercise programs are available to individuals age 55 and older. Tai Chi will be held from 9-9:45 a.m. Mondays, Jan. 28, and Feb. 4, 11 and 18. Zumba Gold will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 22 and 29, and Feb. 5, 12, 19 and 26. Chair yoga will be held at noon Jan. 23 and 30, and Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27. Body Fit Strength will be held at 10:15 a.m. Thursdays, Jan. 24 and 31, and Feb. 7, 14, 21 and 28.

A lecture on medical advocacy will be offered at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 26.
