The Weichert Family of Companies successfully completed its 40th annual toy drive, collecting more than 13,100 new toys for families and children in need during the 2018 holiday season. In addition, cash and gift cards were collected and donated to various charities, along with food, clothing, diapers and art supplies. The toys were donated to several charities throughout the regions in which Weichert does business, including Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children, Holton’s Heroes, Market Street Mission, OneUmbrella Foundation, CASA for Children, Third Street Alliance for Women and Children, Ocean of Love for Children with Cancer, and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.
Barbara Berg, manager of Weichert, Realtors’ Marlboro office, has recognized her office’s top-producing sales associates for December. Roshan Quigley led all associates in the Marlboro office for sales, revenue units and dollar volume for the month, while Barbara Cohen had the most listings.
Drs. Inna and Alex Silman, 270 Route 9 North, Manalapan, will provide free preventive and restorative dental care and, if necessary, make referrals for continuing treatment for children age 12 and under as part of National Children’s Dental Health Month. The one-day program, called Give Kids A Smile, will take place on Feb. 1 and is part of the American Dental Association’s annual push to bring attention to the No. 1 childhood disease, tooth decay. Children who come in on Feb. 1 will receive a comprehensive dental exam, X-rays, oral healthcare instruction, fluoride treatments and free dental hygiene materials. Team Kurlander, the real estate group led by Alan Kurlander and affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Marlboro/Manalapan, delivered donations to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program on Dec. 14. “We’re happy to help Toys for Tots brighten the holidays for local children in need,” said Kurlander. The team includes Billy DelQuaglio, Glenn Aaronson, David Frankel, Susan Schneid, Alan Kurlander, Lauren Vandenabeele, Pat Buccheri, Danielle Lazaro and Ian Zucker.
MoForNovember took place once again at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. The month-long campaign during November encourages men to grow their facial hair to raise awareness of and funds for men<0x2019>s health and in particular men’s cancer. A record $10,835 was raised and 114 participants took part this year. Members of Howell, Adelphia, Ramtown fire companies, and the Howell, Manalapan and Freehold Borough police departments took part, as well as CentraState employees and CentraState Foundation board members. The New York Shaving Company, Freehold, sponsored the campaign and brought a master barber from Brooklyn, N.Y., to provide a complimentary shave to some of the participants at the end of the event for the shave-off. In addition to the men who participated, Alison Cleary, manager of population health at CentraState’s Health Awareness Center, took part to show her support for those individuals who may be suffering hair loss as a result of treatment.
