Disability Allies is a non-profit organization that creates a more inclusive community by connecting young adults with and without special needs.
The Young Adult Community Inclusion Center is located at 415 Route 18 south, East Brunswick. It offers cooking, theater, music, technology, art and creative writing classes, as well as downtime with board games, pool, ping pong, video games, icebreakers and team building activities. Programs run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 2:30-7:30 p.m. Saturdays except holidays.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the Saturday programs. Responsibilities include greeting new arrivals, administering first aid, enforcing rules of recreational facilities and assisting instructors,
There are also monthly special events, such as karaoke, dances, holiday parties, cook offs and video game tournaments. Volunteers would set up and clean up, serve food and engage in event activities,
at our Community Center in East Brunswick. Anyone is welcome to attend our events whether you have a disability or not. Volunteers at these events will include, but are not limited to:
