Florence Township residents will have an opportunity to attend an open house informational event at Roebling Elementary School on March 21.
The event is geared towards families who are planning to register for kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year.
The event is scheduled to run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Florence Township residents with children who will be five-years-old prior to Oct. 1, 2019 are invited to visit and learn about the school district’s programs, teachers, positive behavioral interventions and supports, and the historic school as well.
“This type of event gives us an opportunity to showcase all of the wonderful things our school has to offer,” Florence Township School District Superintendent Donna Ambrosius. “It is important for us to allow parents to see where their children are spending their day, who they are with. As well, this will allow us to make connections with parents, which is incredibly important to every child’s success.”
The Florence Township School District offers kindergarten-aged students a full day program, which district officials said, “meets the needs of each student and allows them to grow and develop a love of learning.”
“We are excited to welcome our Future Flashes and show all the wonderful things we have here at the Roebling Elementary School,” said Roebling Elementary School Principal Chris Butler.
District officials said that staff at the event will have information on curricular programs, registration packets, and information about the district’s award-winning PTA. Light refreshments will be served, too.
