SOUTH BRUNSWICK – The South Brunswick Human Relations Commission held its sixth meeting in a series of events titled “Faith, Conversation and Coffee” on March 7 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church in South Brunswick.
The Rev. Canon Robert Lynam presented on Catholicism and the season of Lent and highlighted the similarities among the various faiths.
South Brunswick residents of diverse faiths – Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, various Christian denominations and others – attended the event as they gained better insight and understanding of the 40-day Lent observance and the history of the Catholic faith.
The South Brunswick Human Relations Commission has held “Faith, Conversation and Coffee” events at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Islamic Society of Central Jersey, Congregation B’Nai Tikvah, Shree Swaminarayan Hindu Temple, and the New Jersey Buddhist Vihara.
