South River green team committee will help clean-up Grekoski park

Local environmental groups are collaborating to clean-up of Edward Grekoski Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 16 at the  South River park, which is located at 319-373 Whitehead Ave.
The clean-up is being led by the Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership in conjunction with the South River Green Team Committee, the South River Environmental Commission and Shade Tree Advisory Board.
In addition, the Central Jersey Stream Team is participating along with local volunteers. The volunteers will also clean up the adjacent South River floodplain areas.
Funding is provided by the Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership, New Jersey Clean Communities Council, and the Borough of South River.
Participants are advised to wear closed-toe shoes, clothing that can get dirty and bring a reusable water bottle. Gloves, bags and light refreshments will be provided.
