MONROE – Four women are safe thanks to the quick efforts of first responders in Monroe after their vehicle wound up in a pond.
A BMW being driven by a 78-year-old woman from Monroe was traveling south in the parking lot of the Regency at Monroe clubhouse and was attempting to park in a marked handicap parking spot when the driver reportedly accelerated, drove over the curb, across landscape rocks, and into a viewing pond, according to information provided by the Monroe Township Police Department.
The vehicle started to float in the water as water started to slowly enter the vehicle.
