EAST BRUNSWICK–Creating its own generic medical products for more than 10 years, Unichem Pharmaceuticals Inc. opened its newest location in East Brunswick.
“Unichem Pharmaceuticals (USA), Inc. markets and distributes its own label generic pharmaceutical products in the United States. Unichem’s focus is on providing quality, innovative and cost-effective products while consistently providing reliable and efficient service to our customers,” said Scott Delaney, the company’s president and chief executive officer.
Delaney said the company was incorporated in New Jersey in 2004. The company’s grand opening ceremony took place on April 1 at its facility, located at 1 Tower Center Blvd, Suite 2200, East Brunswick.
Unichem Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Unichem Laboratories Limited, based in India. A majority of its products are vertically integrated with in-house active pharmaceutical ingredients. Unichem has a growing list of United States’ Food and Drug Administration approved products and a strong product pipeline to support its aggressive growth strategy, according to Delaney.
“As one of the fastest growing companies in the generic space, we chose East Brunswick in order to attract and retain the best talent in the industry,” Delaney said. “Unichem feels that this part of New Jersey is the right place to base its U.S. headquarters.
