Edison Arts Society will present three art students with scholarships May 8

The Edison Arts Society (EAS) will present scholarships to three Edison art students during the EAS exhibit from Heda Matiejunas at 6:30 p.m. on May 8 in the Edison Arts Society Gallery on the third floor of the Municipal Building, 100 Municipal Blvd., Edison.

The recipients are Paschal Okeke from Middlesex County College, who will receive the EAS Angelo Orlando Scholarship; Louis Forgione from Edison High School, who will receive the EAS D.J. Dittman Scholarship; and Cynthia Cao from John P. Stevens High School, who will receive the EAS Unity Bank Scholarship.

This is the fifth consecutive year EAS has awarded scholarships specifically to art students. Several students are recommended by a respective art teacher and the EAS Board selects each recipient. To quality, each student must have a 3.5 GPA, attend one of Edison’ public schools and must provide examples of their work.

Everyone is invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
