American Red Cross schedules blood drives across New Jersey

The American Red Cross has scheduled the following blood drives:
* Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m., whole blood and platelet pheresis, American Red Cross Central New Jersey Blood Donation Center, 707 Alexander Road, Suite 701, Princeton
*Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., whole blood and platelet pheresis, American Red Cross Central New Jersey Blood Donation Center, 707 Alexander Road, Suite 701, Princeton
* May 11 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hightstown EMS, 168 Bank St., Hightstown
* May 10 from 3-8 p.m., Eaves Lawrenceville, 1000 Avalon Way, Lawrenceville
* May 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Gurudwara Sahib, 282 Bakers Basin Road, Lawrenceville
* May 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Princeton University, Frist Campus Center, 75 Washington Road, Princeton
* May 14 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Princeton University, Frist Campus Center, 75 Washington Road, Princeton
* May 16 from 2-7 p.m., Sunrise of East Brunswick, 190 Summerhill Road, East Brunswick
* May 17 from 3-8 p.m., Lyons Schepsco VFW Post No. 1451, 31 Reid St., South River
* May 9 from 2-6 p.m., Howell High School, 405 Squankum-Yellowbrook Road, Farmingdale
* May 8 from 2-7 p.m., Freehold Township Municipal Building, 1 Muncipal Plaza, Freehold Township
* May 9 from 3-7 p.m., Freehold Township High School, 281 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township
All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
