The East Brunswick Educational Foundation will hold the Art in the Right art exhibition reception at 2 p.m. on May 18 at the Blazing Star Art Gallery, 63 Carteret Ave., Carteret.
“Art in the Right: Raising Awareness of our Human Rights in Classrooms Through Sculpture Student Art Exhibition” will be installed at the gallery from May 18 to June 5.
The exhibition serves to raise awareness of the power of human rights through student art, sculpture and personal statements. Showcased through the Central Jersey Arts Council and the Blazing Star Arts Gallery are mixed media works of art from students around the state in grades 2-12 who explore the 30 articles depicted in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights through a series of unique sculptures. Each sculpture is connected to one of the 30 articles of our human rights. Sculptures consist of a variety of media.
