Principal of Spotswood High resigns to go to Sayreville

SOUTH RIVER – The South River School District Board of Education accepted Spotswood High School Principal Dale Rubino’s letter of resignation.

Rubino was appointed principal in Spotswood on May 1, 2018, after leaving Sayreville Memorial High School as a vice principal. He will resign from Spotswood on July 1 to return to Sayreville to serve as its principal, according to information provided at the May 7 Spotswood Board of Education meeting.

Rubino was approved by the Sayreville School District Board of Education as the high school’s principal on April 9.

His appointment will become effective on July 1 for the beginning of the 2019-20 school year, and run through June 30, 2020, the end of the school year, after which he may be re-appointed by the board.

For 2019-20, Rubino’s salary will be $138,145, according to administrators in Sayreville.
