Evelyn K. Mauer, 95, of Ambler, PA, passed away Sunday May 12th at home. Born in Sussex, NJ, she retired from ETS where she was an Administrative Assistant.
Daughter of the late William and Anna StofenkaKonehzny, wife of the late John Lester Mauer. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Konehzny, Helen Hallmark, and Olga Leese. Evelyn is survived by her daughters Renee Tornetta (husband Lawrence Tornetta Jr.),and Lisa Mauer, grandchildren Lawrence Tornetta III and Shelby Tornetta.
Evelyn lived on Bayberry Road in Hopewell township for over 50 years where she was an avid gardner and meticulously maintained her 7 acre property. She was a passionate baker and was famous for her never-ending supply of cookies. Her light filled home was filled with numerous houseplants and inspired her creativity to produce endless crochet projects. Evelyn always attended family gatherings with her camera which afforded her immediate and extended family cherished photo albums chronicling holiday gatherings and life milestones. In her later years Evelyn left Bayberry Road to live in a new carriage home built by her daughter Renee and son-in law Larry on their property in Ambler, PA. Evelyn will be greatly missed and forever loved by her family.
The viewing will be held Friday May 17th 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington. Funeral services will be 11:00a.m. The burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell. Condolences are welcome at www.wilsonapple.com.
