The Township of East Brunswick’s Department of Recreation & Parks will hold its annual Art & Music Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 1, rain or shine, outside of the East Brunswick Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
This daylong event includes the 17th annual juried art show and sale, artisan food vendors, live music, food trucks and a craft beer tent.
Co-sponsoring the event are Miller’s Rentals, Inc. and Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home.
The art show, curated by Renaissance Craftables of Philadephia, is comprised of 60 artists and crafters exhibiting their work.
Live music on the outdoor stage will be hosted by the East Brunswick Arts Commission, with President Jeff Winston serving as the emcee. Kicking off the music at 11 a.m. will be Tommy Strazza and the DeLoreans. Following at 12:30 p.m. will be Kat & the Hooligans. The music will continue with Ray Anderson and the First Verse followed by Folkenphunk.
Food vendors include Bro-ritos Food Truck, Food For All Food Truck, Latin Bites, Ms. Fu’s Yummy Food, Sloppy Ray’s State Street Eats, Zinna’s Jerzey Eatz, Igloo Italian Ices, Cool Chameleon Hawaiian Shave Ice, Really Good Pretzels and Popcorn for the People.
VFW Post 133 will host a craft beer tent, with proceeds going to local veterans projects. The beer will be supplied by Departed Soles Brewing Company of Jersey City, owned by former East Brunswick resident, Brian Kulbacki.
The festival will include children’s activities, such as painting and craft projects, face painting and balloon twisting.
Artist People and Pinot’s Palette will host free activities as well as a painting activity for a nominal fee.
School of Rock will be there with an Instrument Petting Zoo.
