Man at South Brunswick McDonald’s allegedly had 94 folds of heroin

 

 

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – A 33-year-old male from North Brunswick was allegedly found in possession of 94 folds of heroin while inside McDonald’s on Route 1 in South Brunswick.

On June 1 at 1:57 p.m., a witness reported a disorderly male inside of the McDonald’s, according to information provided by the South Brunswick Police Department. Officer Jason Stonkus arrived and encountered the male sitting in a booth, reportedly yelling and waving his arms around rapidly, according to reports. Due to the man’s behavior and physical condition, the Kendall Park First Squad was called to the scene to evaluate his well-being.

After it was deemed the man was no longer in need of any further medical attention, he continued to speak with officers, police said. He eventually stood up and made fists with both hands and had to be restrained by officers, according to the allegations.

Officer Scott Bucca was able to restrain the man’s hands and several folds of suspected heroin were found in the pocket of his shorts, police said. A backpack belonging to the man was also searched and a large number of suspected wax folds of heroin were located, according to the statement. It was determined the man was in possession of 94 folds of suspected heroin, police said.

The man was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and was lodged at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center pending his first court appearance.
