East Brunswick enters into contract with Robert Wood Johnson

EAST BRUNSWICK–The East Brunswick Township Council approved a resolution awarding a contract authorizing Robert Wood Johnson Health Network Inc. to provide an emergency medical service response and transportation system.

The township advertised for proposals to provide basic life support emergency medical service response and transportation systems, according to the council agenda.

Two proposals were received on June 5, according to the agenda.

The proposals have been reviewed by the township’s evaluation team based upon the proposal evaluation criteria, and it has recommended that Robert Wood Johnson Health Network, Inc. be awarded the contract, according to the council.

Business Administrator Joseph Criscuolo said the Robert Wood Johnson Health Network will not only provide emergency medical services for the township but also cover some of the township’s major community events, such as the Fourth of July and East Brunswick Day.

The council approved the resolution on June 10 during the council meeting.

Criscuolo said that by the township awarding this contract to Robert Wood Johnson, there will be no direct costs to the municipality.

The contract will be for a period of three years with an option to extend for two one-year extensions, according to the agenda.
