MILLSTONE – A shared services agreement has been authorized between the Township Committee and the Millstone Township K-8 School District for HVAC and electrical maintenance services.
On July 3, committee members authorized the shared services agreement for maintenance services for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and electrical. The committee’s resolution followed the Board of Education’s approval of the on June 24.
The agreement covers the period from July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020.
According to the resolution, the school board will assist and cooperate with municipal officials to provide HVAC and electrical maintenance services to various facilities that are owned by the township.
In other business, committee members passed separate resolutions appointing Matthew Pressey as the township’s electrical subcode official, electrical inspector and construction official.
Pressly will serve as the electrical subcode official for a term that began on July 8, 2019 and will end on Dec. 8, 2023. He will receive a salary of $3,951. As the electrical inspector, he will receive a salary of $29,549 and his term will expire on Dec. 31, 2019. His term as the construction official began on July 8 and he will receive an annual salary of $33,500.
And, committee members named Robert Scott D’Amico as the temporary building subcode official/inspector at an hourly rate of $41.
According to the resolution, D’Amico submitted a letter of resignation as the building subcode official/inspector, which became effective July 2, but offered to continue as a temporary employee on an as-needed basis. His temporary term began on July 2 and will conclude on Sept. 2.
Finally, committee members appointed Timothy Mastromarino and Alden Littlefield as Clean Communities Program employees. Mastromarino’s appointment became effective on July 1 and Littlefield’s appointment became effective on June 27. Each will receive $11 an hour for a maximum 28-hour work week, according to the resolutions.
