MANALAPAN – The Manalapan-Englishtown Community Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse will host its annual Project Zero car show from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 12 at Manalapan High School, Church Lane.

The event will offer a free ice cream sundae to the first 500 participants and attendees.

During the event, representatives of the alliance will present a short program and allow the community to come together to remember individuals who have been lost to addiction, according to a press release.

The alliance will have information about resources that can assist individuals who are still battling addiction, and other educational and informational resources focused on prevention.

They said they want to mobilize a community-based effort to fight alcohol abuse and drug abuse and empower community members to be pre-emptive on the issue and to employ strategies and efforts to prevent alcohol abuse and drug abuse.

There is no cost for car show participants or spectators.
