The Edison Main Library will hold a lecture on Medicare at 2 p.m. on Aug. 21. A workshop on food, nutrition and health will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 11.
A Hispanic Heritage Month Film Festival will include “Who is Dayani Cristal” on Sept. 16, “On Two Fronts: Latinos & Vietnam” on Sept. 13, “We Like it Like That” on Sept. 30 and “Las Distances” on Oct. 7. All movie times are 2 p.m.
Beginner’s salsa dancing will be offered at 7 p.m. on Oct. 1.
Each library branch has partnered with Guatemala Book Project for a donation drive, in order to establish small scholastic libraries in the Recuerdo a Barrios region of Guatemala. Spanish/bilingual books and school supplies will be accepted. The drive runs from Sept. 16 to Oct. 19.
