On Election Day, Nov. 5, voters will be asked to elect residents to serve on local school boards.
The deadline to file a nominating petition to seek a seat on a school board was July 29.
In Colts Neck, there are three three-year terms available on the Colts Neck K-8 School District Board of Education. Incumbents Danielle Alpaugh, Marian Castner and Jacquelyn Hoagland are running unopposed.
In Freehold Borough, there are three three-year terms available on the Freehold Borough K-8 School District Board of Education. There are four candidates in the race: Paul Ceppi, Tyler Jordan, Caridad Argote-Freyre and Brent F. Costleigh. Ceppi and Jordan are incumbents. Tomi “Elisha” Carter is running unopposed for a one-year term.
In Freehold Township, there are three three-year terms available on the Freehold Township K-8 School District Board of Education. There are four candidates in the race: Daniel DiBlasio, Elena S. O’Sullivan, Jennifer Patten and Debra Costanza. DiBlasio, O’Sullivan and Patten are incumbents.
In Manalapan, there are three three-year terms available on the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District Board of Education. The nine-member board consists of eight residents of Manalapan and one resident of Englishtown. This year, all three available seats are for Manalapan representatives. There are four candidates in the race: Christine Parisi, David Kane, Gerald Bruno and Sunil B. Polepalli. Parisi and Bruno are incumbents. Board member Joe Tringali is not seeking re-election.
In Marlboro, there are three three-year terms available on the Marlboro K-8 School District Board of Education. There are six candidates in the race: Patricia Branch, Dara A. Enny, Randy Heller, Seth Amster, Seth Kreisler and Jennifer Silacci. Branch, Enny and Heller are incumbents. Robert Daniel, who currently serves on the board, is running unopposed for a one-year term.
In the Freehold Regional High School District, there are three three-year terms on the ballot for seats on the Board of Education.
Diana Cappiello, who represents Englishtown, will run unopposed for re-election. Under the board’s voting structure, residents of Englishtown and Manalapan will vote for Cappiello.
Kathie Lavin, who represents Farmingdale, will run unopposed for re-election. Under the board’s voting structure, residents of Farmingdale and Howell will vote for Lavin.
Marc Parisi will run unopposed for election as one of Howell’s two representatives. Under the board’s voting structure, residents of Howell and Farmingdale will vote for Parisi. Board member Amy Fankhauser is not seeking re-election.
