The Manalapan Police Department reported the following incidents occurred in the township:
• On Aug. 17 at 5:30 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Whirlaway Road to investigate a report of a burglary. A resident told police that sometime between midnight and 3 a.m., an unknown individual forced entry to the residence through a rear sliding glass door. Whirlaway Road is in a residential development off Woodward Road.
• On Aug. 17 at 10:21 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Citation Lane to investigate a report of a burglary. A resident told police a neighbor had observed damage to window screens at the victim’s residence. Further investigation determined that several widows on the rear and sides of the home were damaged and that an unknown individual had entered the residence through a rear window. Citation Lane is in a residential development off Woodward Road.
• On Aug. 18 at 10:33 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Red Fox Run to investigate a report of a theft. A resident reported that sometime between Aug. 1 and Aug. 18, an unknown individual entered a barn and removed a chainsaw valued at $500. Red Fox Run is off Oakland Mills Road.
• On Aug. 15 at 5:39 p.m., officers responded to the area of St. Andrews Place to investigate a report of a stolen motor vehicle. A resident of Staten Island, N.Y., told police that at about 5:30 p.m., an unknown individual stole a black 2018 Mercedces Benz E430. The vehicle was parked in a parking lot, unlocked, with the key fob in the vehicle. St. Andrews Place is in the Knob Hill development off Route 33.
• On Aug. 15 at 10:16 p.m., officers responded to a business on Madison Avenue, off Route 33, to investigate a report that three motorcycles had been stolen from a storage unit. The business owner reported that sometime on Aug. 12, three unknown individuals forced entry to a storage unit and removed the motorcycles.
• On Aug. 16 at 11:41 a.m., a resident told police that sometime in early August, an unknown individual fraudulently opened a credit card using the resident’s personal information and completed transactions totaling $6,000.
• On Aug. 15 at 1:26 p.m., a Manalapan resident told police that sometime in February 2017, an unknown individual fraudulently opened a credit card using the resident’s personal information and completed transactions totaling $4,585.
• On Aug. 14 at 9:06 p.m., officers responded to a business on Gordons Corner Road to investigate a report of counterfeit money. An employee told the officers that sometime that day, an unknown individual used $140 in counterfeit currency to make a purchase.
