The following events and programs will be held at the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County, 1775 Oak Tree Road, Edison:
- Gil Hollander will offer instruction on bridge from 7-9 p.m. on Mondays, Oct. 28; Nov. 4, 11, 18 and 25; and Dec. 2. Not suitable for beginnings. The cost is $48 for members or $60 for non-members.
- Duplicate bridge will be held from 1-4 p.m. every Wednesday; no meeting on Oct. 9. Cost is $6 for members or $18 for non-members.
- Bob Galante will discuss current events from 10-11:30 a.m. on Fridays. Session 1 will be held Sept. 20 and 27 and Oct. 4 and 11. Session 2 will be held Oct. 18 and 25; and Nov. 1, 8, 15 and 22. Cost per session is $48 for members or $60 for non-members. New members can attend one class for free.
- Lauren Faiella will present weight management and healthy lifestyle tips at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 17. No cost to attend.
- John Kendrick will discuss Mel Brooks’ “It’s Good to be King” at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 17. The cost is $8 for members or $11 for non-members.
- Hilary May will “Decode the Past” of life 200 years ago at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 24. The cost is $8 for members or $11 for non-members.
- “Jews to My Ears,” Jewish songs and songs by Jewish composers, will be performed by Sara Baumgarten, soprano, and Joseph Krupa, on piano, at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 24. Free and open to the community.
- Joel Farkas will discuss the steps to independence after the Revolutionary War at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 29. The cost is $8 for members or $11 for non-members.
- Jewish and Jazz Music with Efrat Shapira will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 29. Free and open to the community.
- Rabbi Bryan Kinzbrunner will hold a bereavement support group from 3-4 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 25 and Oct. 16 and 30. Free. New members welcome.
- Trips to Atlantic City will be held on Sept. 23, Oct. 28, Nov. 25 and Dec. 16. The bus will leave at 8:45 a.m. and return around 7 p.m. The cost is $30 per person, including gratuity; receive $25 in slot dollars. Must be 21 or older.
