Two men and a woman were arrested and charged with assorted drug-related offenses, following a two-month-long investigation by the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force that concluded on Oct. 15, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri said.
The Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, which includes Princeton Police Department detectives, arrested Trenton residents Roberto Paula, 27; Kelvin Tavarez-Martinez, 24; and Jennifer Rodriguez, 25, after detectives carried out search warrants at three Trenton residences that Paula uses.
Detectives found 2,193 oxycodone pills, valued at more than $65,000, plus 20 grams of cocaine worth $2,000 and $4,296 in cash during searches at two residences on Second Street and one on Lamberton Street in the City of Trenton, the Prosecutor’s Office said.
The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the New Jersey State Police TEAMS unit, U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Princeton, Hamilton and Trenton police departments, under the command of the Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Investigations Unit, assisted in the investigation.
Paula was turned over to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
