Fittipaldi joins Village Elementary School administration in Holmdel

Rebecca Fittipaldi recently joined the Village Elementary School administration in the newly created position of Supervisor of P-3 Instruction.

Fittipaldi brings a strong curriculum and instruction background in early childhood education to the students and staff at Village Elementary School. The elementary school educates pupils in preschool through third grade.

Fittipaldi comes to Holmdel from the Highland Park School District where she was recognized twice as teacher of the year when she was a first grade teacher. She was later promoted to the position of Supervisor of Humanities, according to a press release.

Fittipaldi’s expertise in teaching led her to be a pilot teacher for the National Institute for Early Education Research. She appears in several training videos related to research on effective classroom practices, according to the press release.

Fittipaldi joined the district in late September.

“My first few weeks in Holmdel have been everything I had hoped they would be,” Fittipaldi said. It’s evident that I am surrounded by teachers, support staff and administrators that truly care about their students.

“I am honored and excited to be a part of a school community that is innovative and hold itself to high levels of academic, social and developmental success,” Fittipaldi said.

“Mrs. Fittapaldi’s expertise in the leadership of early childhood education is a tremendous asset to our district as we implement our new Full Day Kindergarten program,” said Dr. Robert McGarry, Superintendent of Schools.

“Village School already provides a superior foundation for our district’s learners and Mrs. Fittipaldi’s expertise in preschool through grade three curriculum and instruction is certain to enhance our efforts in these important years of a child’s education,” McGarry said.
