OLD BRIDGE – Mayor Owen Henry was re-elected to his third term as mayor of Old Bridge, while his fellow Republicans were elected to seats on the Township Council.
Henry received 6,787 votes/58%, while his challenger, Democrat David Merwin, received 5,014 votes/42%.
In the Township Council race, the three Republican incumbents retained their three, four-year seats.
Anita Greenberg-Belli, Eleanor “Debbie” Walker and Mary Rita Sohor received 6,287 votes/19%, 6,306 votes/19% and 6,190 votes/19%, respectively.
The Democratic candidates – former longtime Councilman Dennis M. Maher, former Councilwoman June Dungee and newcomer Raya Arbiol – received 4,968 votes/15%, 4,946 votes/15% and 4,758 votes/14%, respectively.
Election results from Nov. 5 are according to the Middlesex County Board of Elections and are unofficial until certified.
