Republicans will maintain 5-0 control of the governing bodies in Millstone Township and Upper Freehold Township following the Nov. 5 election.
In Millstone Township, incumbent Republican Al Ferro ran unopposed for a three-year term on the Township Committee. Ferro received 1,349 votes on Election Day, according to results posted online by the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office.
Ferro has been a member of the committee since September 2018, when he was appointed to fill a vacant seat for the remainder of the year. He succeeded Bob Kinsey, who resigned from the governing body shortly before his death.
In November 2018, Ferro was elected to serve the remainder of Kinsey’s term, which had one year remaining (2019).
With his victory on Nov. 5, Ferro will begin his first three-year term on the governing body in January. The term will run from Jan. 1, 2020 to Dec. 31, 2022.
Ferro is joined on the Township Committee by Gary Dorfman, Nancy Grbelja, Michael Kuczinski and Fiore Masci.
In Upper Freehold Township, incumbent Republicans Stanley Moslowski and LoriSue Mount ran unopposed for two three-year terms on the Township Committee.
Moslowski received 1,190 votes and Mount received 1,136 votes on Election Day, according to results posted by the clerk’s office. The terms will run from Jan. 1, 2020 through Dec. 31, 2022.
Mount has been a member of the Township Committee since 2008 and is serving as deputy mayor in 2019. Moslowski has been a member of the Township Committee since 2008.
Moslowski and Mount are joined on the Township Committee by Stephen Alexander, Robert Faber and Dr. Robert Frascella.
The results of the 2019 general election are unofficial until they are certified by the county.
