On Nov. 11, Roebling Elementary School in the Florence Township School District recognized local veterans who live in the community with an annual honorary assembly.
Community veteran’s and their families were treated to performances of songs and poetry from the classes, artwork, cheer routines and letters of thanks read aloud by various students. The event culminated with a breakfast served to all veterans and families who attended
“This is a wonderful tradition Roebling School has been hosting for many years,” said Principal Christopher Butler in a statement. “The students are so proud to recognize those who served and protected our country and you will easily see many tears of affirmation from those attending.”
