The 12th Man TD Club has selected the Players of the Week for Week 9 of the high school football season. Below are this week’s honorees.
Offensive Back of the Week
Dave Tunis, West Windsor-Plainsboro High School (Jr., RB)
Rushed 18 times for 233 yards and four TDs in victory over Monroe Township High School.
Offensive Back of the Week
Chris McRea, Allentown High School (Sr., WR)
Took in three catches for 104 yards in play-in game victory over Robbinsville High School to to earn berth in state playoffs. Made two receptions for 70 yards and a TD in playoff loss against Wall Township High School.
Offensive Lineman of the Week
Lucas Trancozo, Hightstown High School (Sr., OL)
Lucas paved the way for over 300 yards of offense in the first half of a victory over Ewing High School.
Offensive Lineman of the Week
Boomsie Brown, Lawrence High School (Jr., G)
Boomsie led the way for 330 rushing yards in victory against Pennsauken High School.
Defensive Back of the Week
Christopher Cronce, Hamilton High School West (Jr., OLB)
He collected seven solo tackles and 10 assists, along with one forced fumble, in state playoff loss to Middletown High School South.
Defensive Back of the Week
Leon Jones, Notre Dame High School (Sr., CB)
Had an exceptional game at cornerback in the state playoff opener in Morris Township. He locked down his side and had a key 45-yard interception and return from two yards deep in the Delbarton School end zone that ended the Green Wave’s drive and set up the fourth touchdown. He also caught a 35-yard TD pass to give him 15 touchdown catches receptions for the year.
