The Covered Bridge Artisans annual studio tour is a self-guided outing in the scenic Delaware River Valley of lower Hunterdon and Bucks Counties, featuring eight professional artist studios in the Lambertville, Stockton, Sergeantsville and New Hope areas, and thirteen additional artists at the Events Center in Sergeantsville.
This much anticipated event celebrates its 25th year with its largest group of participating artists. Founding artists Karen and Geoff Caldwell of Sunflower Glass Studio outside of Stockton, ceramicist Katherine Hackl of Swan Street Studio in Lambertville and sculptors Dave Cann and Constance Bassett of Moorland Studio in Stockton will display their newest work in their studios. The studios of painter Phoebe Wiley of Long Lane Farm in Sergeantsville, printmaker and painter Annelies van Dommelen of Lambertville, and fiber artist Teri Nalbone of New Hope are also on the tour. Joining them are new sculptor studio artists John McDevitt of New Hope, PA and Jeanine Pennell of Bonetown Studio in Sergeantsville, NJ.
The Event Center in Sergeantsville, will showcase thirteen outstanding artists. Returning artists are wood-turner Bernard Hohlfeld, painter Helena van Emmerik-Finn, fiber artist Amy Turner, and photographer Don Schoenleber, all of Doylestown, PA; jeweler Diana Contine and glass blower Drew Montesano, both of Solebury, PA; basket maker Lynn Ebeling and hand-painted floorcloth artist Ellie Wyeth, both of Hopewell, NJ: ceramic artist Sheila Watson Coutin of Sandbrook, NJ, and bead-weaver Sheila Fernekes of Flemington, NJ. New additions to the Event Center are ‘paper clay’ ceramic artist Jerry Bennett of Philadelphia, wood carver Mark Bair of Audubon, NJ and quilt maker Carol Heisler-Lawson of East Norriton, PA.
