South Brunswick police solve mailbox break ins; seek additional victims

 

 

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – South Brunswick police have identified two people who are connected to the recent mailbox break-ins of the Monmouth Junction and Dayton post offices on the morning of Dec. 1.

Police located the suspect’s vehicle in North Jersey and executed a search warrant in connection with the investigation on Dec. 10, according to information provided by the South Brunswick Police Department. Detectives recovered items of mail linked to township residents, according to the statement.

While several victims have been named, South Brunswick police are still asking for more to come forward. If you placed a piece of mail into the front blue mail drop-box of the Monmouth Junction or Dayton post office between 3 p.m. on Nov. 30 and 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 that contained cash, checks, electronics or other items of value, call Detective Timothy Hoover at 732-329-4000, ext.7443.
