OLD BRIDGE – It was all holiday fun and games during the 23rd annual Cops for Kids Holiday party for local families in need at the George Bush Senior Center in Old Bridge.
The Old Bridge Policemen’s Benevolent Association (PBA) Local 127 served as the host to the party on Dec. 6 in conjunction with the Old Bridge Police Department; Old Bridge Parks, Recreation and Social Services Department; and the Old Bridge Food Bank.
PBA President Vincent Galgano and Police Sgt. Jim Ford said this year has been the biggest year for donations from various local entities, businesses and the public. Galgano said Walmart donated a pallet of games, which they re-donated to a local children’s shelter.
Local entities and businesses included Bubba’s 33, Texas Roadhouse, McDonald’s, Outback Steakhouse, Palms Plaza, LaDolce Bakery, Meliani’s, Old Bridge Pizza, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Krispy Pizza, Dominos, Giusseppe’s Pizza, Aiello’s, Bagel Boy, Nicolo’s Pizza, Top Hat Catering, Wegmans of Manalapan, Old Bridge Drugs and Surgicals, Excel Urgent Care, Delfino Contracting, Carl Sandburg Middle School PTA, Bank of America, Girl Scout Troop 80504, Patriot Cigars, and Nikki’s Dawgs.
Nearly 90 children and their families were treated to DJ entertainment, dinner, dessert and presents from Santa Claus.
