OLD BRIDGE – Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center Foundation received $150,000 from University Radiology in support of the new Emergency Department currently under construction at the Old Bridge campus of Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center.
“This new Emergency Department will have a tremendous impact on Old Bridge and the surrounding communities” said Joseph E. Stampe, president and chief development officer of Meridian Health Foundation, to which Raritan Bay Medical Center Foundation belongs. “Gifts of this magnitude will help to bring the level of care for individuals in need of emergency services to the next level and we are so thankful to University Radiology for their generosity.”
Raritan Bay Medical Center Old Bridge broke ground on its new 24,000 square feet, $39 million Emergency Department in October. With 25,000 visits annually, the new state-of-the-art department will provide safer and faster arrivals by adding additional ambulance bays, newly designed pediatric rooms and new on-site technology with equipment that will provide more accurate diagnostics and treatment, according to a statement provided by Hackensack Meridian Health. Additionally, it will include greater privacy, comfort and immediate patient triage.
“It is our honor to be able to support this historic and important project,” Martin Bieber, MHA, CPA, chief executive officer of University Radiology, said in the statement. “We applaud the Hackensack Meridian Health network and Raritan Bay Medical Center as they are making significant investments to provide the best clinical care to their patients. We are pleased to support this shared vision by making this gift and we could not be more proud to be able to support our community.”
The fundraising effort for the new Emergency Department in Old Bridge is part of Meridian Health Foundation’s regional comprehensive fundraising campaign called Giving Heals, which focuses on four important initiatives: strengthening oncology services, improving clinical outcomes, enhancing the patient experience and broadening clinical research and academic programs at the following Hackensack Meridian Health hospitals: Bayshore Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, K.
