HOWELL – The Howell K-8 School District has announced the 16th year of its integrated preschool program beginning September 2020.
The program will serve 3- and 4-year-old children; classes will be balanced based on age. Morning and afternoon sessions will be held five days per week, according to a press release.
Preschool students with disabilities and typically developing preschoolers will come together in an inclusive classroom where language, academic and social skills will be developed in a nurturing environment, according to the press release.
Enrollment is open to typical preschool students who will be selected via a lottery process.
Tuition for the program will be $3,200 for the 2020-21 school year. Parents may choose to make one payment for the entire cost or pay the tuition on a specified fee schedule, according to the press release.
Transportation may be available for a fee; otherwise parents will be responsible for transporting their child/children to and from the program.
The lottery drawing will be held at 2:30 p.m. April 24 at Howell Middle School North. Parents do not have to be present for the lottery drawing, but are welcome to attend.
Parents of students chosen to attend the preschool will be notified by mail. To qualify, a child must be 3 years old on or before Oct. 1, 2020, according to the press release.
Applications for the program are available at the school district’s administrative offices at 4567 Route 9 North, 1st Floor, Suite D, Howell. Applications will also be available in each Howell school’s main office and on the district’s website at www.howell.k12.nj.us
Applications must be mailed to the Howell Township Public Schools’ Administrative Office,
