Monroe has 18 positive COVID-19 cases after report of two new cases

MONROE – Monroe officials reported two new positive COVID-19 cases on March 25, which brings the total number in the township to 18, according to the Monroe Township Office of Emergency Management.

The new cases include a 63-year-old male and a 72-year-old female, officials said.

“From what we see happening in New York, we must recognize how important it is for us to self-isolate and social distance to avoid the same devastating outcomes,” Mayor Gerald Tamburro said. “I am asking you to stay home and do your part to help ‘flatten the curve’ of this life-threatening virus.”

Officials also announced new testing hours available at the COVID-19 drive-thru testing site at MyInstaDoc on 298 Applegarth Road. The facility will serve pre-registered patients from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and drive-up patients from 1–3:30 p.m. on March 26.

Testing will continue on Saturday, March 28, and Tuesday, March 31. Pre-register at www.myinstadocmonroe.com or call 609-207-3220 to speak with a medical professional.
