Right at Home of Central New Jersey caregivers provide in-home care during COVID-19 crisis

As COVID-19 continues to ravage communities, local Right at Home of Central New Jersey employees are saving lives and helping to stem the spread of the coronavirus by providing care services to senior adults and adults with disabilities in the comfort and safety of their own homes.

The live-in caregivers are following COVID-19 safety protocols, including asking for personal protective equipment (PPE), according to information provided by the company.

There are also a number of caregivers who are helping at assisted living facilities.

The office staff and marketing team hand-deliver PPE packages and anything else the hourly or live-in caregivers need, according to the statement.

In addition, at Right at Home’s request, many local restaurants have been donating pizzas and other food to care partners at rehab centers, hospitals and assisted living facilities, according to the statement.

“We at Right at Home of Central New Jersey are proud to be part of the wonderful Middlesex and Northern Monmouth County communities and privileged to be able to help each other at this time of greatest need,” Beth Sholom said.

“Right now, we as a society are faced with an unprecedented challenge,” Brian Petranick, CEO and president of Right at Home, said in the statement. “We believe that everyone should be doing what they can to protect and strengthen our communities. As a business that is uniquely well equipped to respond to this crisis, we are so proud of the Right at Home of Central New Jersey and the role they are playing.”

Right at Home caregivers are trained extensively on limiting exposure and reducing the risk of spreading infection. Right at Home continues to actively monitor the recommendations and guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and their state and local departments of health, according to the statement.
