Joseph Werthan of Freehold, a member of the Colgate University, Hamilton, N.Y., Class of 2020, has earned the fall 2019 Dean’s Award with Distinction (GPA of 3.6 or above). Joseph is a graduate of Peddie School, Hightstown.
The following students recently were initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines: Lily Gilston of Morganville at The College of New Jersey and Erica Levy of Morganville at The College of New Jersey.
Jessica Kaplan of Marlboro, a member of the Colgate University, Hamilton, N.Y., Class of 2022, has earned the fall 2019 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. Jessica is a graduate of Colts Neck High School.
Trevor Covey of Freehold was one of nearly 200 student-athletes who competed for Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa., during the 2019-20 winter sports season. Trevor was a member of the basketball team which finished 11-14. He is a graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School and is pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration.
East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania has recognized 362 students who were scheduled to be recognized at the 2020 honors convocation, which was not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Alexa Crimeni of Morganville was one of the students honored.
Paige Clarke of Freehold was among 31 University of Scranton, Pa., students inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of nursing. The honor society was founded in 1922. Paige is a senior nursing major at the Jesuit university.
