South Brunswick police are investigating a shooting that occurred on May 7 off of Route 27.
Sometime around 10 p.m., residents of the Carneglia Apartments at 3064 Route 27 told police they heard popping sounds. Police were not notified of the incident until May 8 when a neighbor discovered numerous bullet shell casings outside of the apartment complex, according to information provided by the South Brunswick Police Department on May 8.
Officers and detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and collected evidence from the scene, according to the statement.
There were no injuries as a result of the shooting.
