EDISON – Edison officials reported 12 new positive cases of COVID-19 over a period of two days, bringing the total number of cases to 1,729, according to the Edison Office of Emergency Management.
There were 10 cases reported on May 24. The age range of the cases are 36 to 86.
There were two cases reported on May 25, a 46-year-old and a 66-year-old.
The township has lost 179 residents to COVID-19, according to Middlesex County.
The township has resumed the collection of cardboard from outside of the recycling container on regular recycling days.
Edison Township was not provided any other information regarding the new cases.
