The University of Scranton, Pa., has awarded degrees to the following area residents: Sara A. Codispoti of Freehold earned a Master of Science with a major in occupational therapy; Megan C. Farrell of Colts Neck earned a Master of Science with a major in occupational therapy; Kelly Ryan Grubb of Manalapan earned a Master of Science with a major in educational administration; Kathleen H. Veneziano of Manalapan earned a Master of Science with a major in occupational therapy; and Vanessa Diaz of Marlboro earned a Master of Accountancy with a major in accountancy.
The following area residents have earned undergraduate degrees at the University of Scranton, Pa. University of the Sciences, Philadelphia, Pa., recognized graduates as part of the University’s 199th Commencement celebration held virtually on May 20, 2020. Jason Seto of Morganville graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science. Hagger Abouomar of Freehold graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Gianna Iantosca of Manalapan graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Alyson Clark of Manalapan graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Adarsh Parikh of Colts Neck graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Joseph Santomarco of Manalapan has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice with a minor in history from Lycoming College, Williamsport, Pa.
James Purcell of Freehold has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration with a minor in corporate communication from Lycoming College, Williamsport, Pa. James was names to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester.
Colleen McPolin of Marlboro, a rising junior at Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y., has been named to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester. She is dual-majoring in advertising and policy studies, respectively, at the Newhouse School of Public Communication and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. Colleen is in the Renee Crown Honors program and has a 3.9 cumulative GPA. She has been named to the dean’s list in each semester at Syracuse.
Heather Goldfarb of Marlboro has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester at Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
Liam O’Brien of Freehold has been named to the spring 2020 dean’s list at Belmont University, Nashville, Tenn.
Shane Hadley of Marlboro graduated from the University of San Diego, Calif., with a bachelor’s degree in environmental and ocean sciences. He participated in the Naval ROTC program and was commissioned as an ensign on May 22, 2020. Hadley will be a surface warfare officer and report to the USS Arlington.
Paige E. Clarke of Freehold was among the 12 members of the University of Scranton, Pa., Class of 2020, along with graduates from King’s College, Misericordia University and Wilkes University, who were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army during a virtual ceremony held on May 30. Paige majored in nursing at the Jesuit university.
East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester: Holly Heinsohn, a psychology student from Freehold, and Brianna Pacifico, a nursing student from Manalapan.
The Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Ga., announced that Manalapan residents Aviva Kern and Kushagr Singh have earned the distinction of Faculty Honors for Spring 2020. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have achieved a 4.0 academic average for the semester.
Aditya Kumar of Manalapan has been named to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Ga.
