UPDATE: The MVC is open for inspections only the rest of today, July 8.
Visitors waited more than three hours on line at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission South Brunswick Agency on Route 130 in the Dayton section of town, as agencies reopened across the state on July 7.
There were hundreds of people waiting in line since 5 a.m., some of whom still weren’t serviced by 10:30 a.m., according to information provided by the South Brunswick Police Department.
Twitter was flooded with comments. One resident said she arrived at 3:55 a.m. and was third in line. By 5 a.m. the line was at least 100 deep. It took her 45 minutes to complete her business as she said it was slow inside.
Reports show there is already a line at the MVC today as well.
