RED BANK – Red Bank RiverCenter, in conjunction with Red Bank retailers and shop owners, has announced that the 66th year of the Red Bank Summer Sidewalk Sale will once again set up streetside in the borough’s downtown district.
A staple of the summer season, the event invites shoppers to enjoy the season’s best deals and most fashionable finds from Red Bank’s retail businesses in a safe outdoor setting, according to a press release.
Beginning Aug. 28 and continuing through Aug. 30, the sidewalk sale will feature an array of local retailers and purveyors, from handcrafted gourmet stores, small boutiques and antique shops to big-name retailers, according to the press release.
Visitors may also enjoy Red Bank’s many restaurants and eateries. Experience the first Broadwalk Plaza on Broad Street.
Each week Red Bank officials shut down Broad Street, allowing retail shops to spread out and restaurants to provide seating in an outdoor plaza, according to the press release.
“Red Bank RiverCenter is excited to present this annual outdoor shopping tradition during the last weekend of August,” RiverCenter Executive Director Laura Kirkpatrick said.
“The in-person spring and summer shopping seasons were delayed because of the COVID pandemic, but our retailers have been safely welcoming customers back to town since June. They are ready to continue our time-honored bargain hunting event just a bit later in the summer season,” Kirkpatrick said.
The businesses participating in the sidewalk sale may have varying store hours throughout the weekend and shoppers are encouraged to check the hours of operation for their retailers of choice.
