In the event that President Donald Trump attempts to question the legitimacy of the election, Indivisible Cranbury, along with a coalition of activist groups, plan to gather at 4 p.m. Nov. 4 at Hinds Plaza, adjacent to the Princeton Public Library, Princeton, to ensure that every vote is counted and demand that Trump honor the valid results of the 2020 election.
“If Trump threatens our democracy by denying, refusing or contesting a clear result, or pressures state legislators to do the same, or uses law enforcement or the military to interfere with the election outcome, we will come together to protect the results of the election,” Laura Zurfluh, founder of Indivisible Cranbury, said in a statement released Oct. 30.
The nationwide actions are being organized by Protect the Results, a coalition of more than 100 groups that was formed to protect the results of the election in the case that Trump refuses to concede.
