EAST BRUNSWICK–The Township of East Brunswick has presumably spoken, with Democratic candidate Mayor Brad Cohen securing his mayoral seat for another four-year term.
Cohen received 13,308 votes compared to Republican candidate Jesal Amin’s 6,033 votes, current as of Nov. 10. The total number of write-in votes was 15. The total number of votes was 19,356, according to the Middlesex County Clerk’s website.
The results reflect what has been posted online by the Middlesex County Clerk’s Office as of press time.
The results of the election will remain unofficial until they are certified, which could be around Nov. 20.
