JACKSON – The Jackson Township Republican Club voted to endorse Jack Ciattarelli to secure the Ocean County line for the Republican nomination for governor during the club’s first meeting of 2021.
Club President Todd Porter pledged to cast the club’s votes for Ciattarelli at the Ocean County GOP nominating convention.
“Jack Ciattarelli has demonstrated he has what it takes to provide competent leadership for New Jersey,” Porter was quoted as saying in a press release.
“Through his private business success to his leadership in local, county and state government, Jack has stood for excellence and delivered results. We need Jack’s leadership
and know-how to clean up the numerous missteps of the Murphy administration that have cost New Jersey residents lives and livelihoods,” Porter said.
Clara Glory, chairwoman of the Jackson County Committee, praised the grassroots club members for standing behind Ciattarelli.
“Jack Ciattarelli has the character and knowledge we need to lead us forward in New Jersey,” Glory said. “Jack has stood with Jackson’s Republican leadership and supported our team. I am proud to support him for governor and I am proud Jackson Republicans are united behind him.”
“I am grateful for the support of so many proud Republicans in Jackson,” Ciattarelli was quoted as saying in the press release. “Jackson residents know firsthand the damage that Democrat mandates, neglect and taxes cause our quality of life in New Jersey. Together, we can fixed what is broken in Trenton and deliver smaller, better and more affordable government services to the people of our great state.”
A four-year term for governor will be on the November ballot in New Jersey. Democrat Phil Murphy is in the final year of his first term as governor.
