Janet P. Wyckoff PhD, 77, passed away peacefully on hospice following a long battle with lung disease and most recently COVID-19, on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Stonebridge at Montgomery. Born in Morristown, NJ; she lived in Hopewell most of her life and the last two years at Stonebridge at Montgomery in Skillman, where she was very happy.
Janet graduated from Rutgers University with a PhD in Developmental Psychology. She was a lover of books and was proud of her collection of antique books. Throughout the years, Janet worked as a bookseller for many area book stores. Janet was an accomplished quilter and sewer and was associated with several local Quilt Guilds. Janet was a “people person” and had many circles of friends.
She is survived by her son, Phillip Wyckoff of Hightstown, her daughter, Sara W. Cavallo of Syracuse, NY; three grandchildren, Francisco Wyckoff, Skylar Bush and Jy-Quelle Glover. Janet is also survived by her beloved partner, David Goodstein.
The family would like to acknowledge those who took special care of Janet over the last few years, the staff of Stonebridge at Montgomery, the Pulmonary Specialist’s in Hunterdon and especially Dr. Suzanne Holdcraft.
Due to COVID restrictions, private family services will be held at this time, the family wishes for everyone who knew Janet to remember her as you raise your glass, book or sewing needles.
Arrangements are under the direction of Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, Hightstown.
